Clara is an English Education major at Kennesaw State University, preparing to teach students in grades 6–12. She hopes to help students develop confidence as readers and writers, discover a genuine love of literature, and understand how stories can deepen empathy, spark curiosity, and make them feel less alone.
Teaching approach

Clara’s developing teaching philosophy centers on meaningful relationships, accessible learning, creativity, and helping students build confidence through curiosity rather than fear of mistakes. She wants literature and writing to feel alive, relevant, and open to every student rather than reserved for those who already believe they are “good at English.” She wants students to encounter literature as something alive: a way to understand other people, examine the world, and discover the power of their own voices.
Her background in theatre informs an energetic, expressive approach to instruction and gives her experience supporting collaboration, communication, and student performance.
